Picked this piece up at a
thrift sale last year for $1.00. I
originally intended to use it for a ribbon holder, but it just didn't hold enough ribbon.
I have been looking for a paper towel holder, but haven't been able to find one I like. They all seem to be black rod iron, or
chrome.
So, I cut off the arms and the base was just the perfect size for a paper towel roll. I may paint it in the future, but for now, I like the dark wood.

Way to re-purpose!
I just found your blog and I really love it. It love found/vintage materials. Thanks for the wonderful read!
Neat idea. I love to buy items that should be used for one thing and end up being used for something different. Good job.
way to rock it out, Junk Mamma!
I am new here at blogger.com. I happen to push the next blog button so here I am. Hope you don't mind. Often I accompany my wife to some antique store and see the same items that you have here on display. They're lovely.
