The tree

We went out tree hunting today. Not the storybook version, where you go to a farm, drink hot chocolate and wear a cute scarf. We got it at one of those places that have pre-cut trees. I have found that with little kids this is the route for us to go. It's quick, easy and the trees the last couple of years have been the best.

Here it is all decorated. Most of our ornaments are homemade. We have pictures of family that we have framed out in mini pine cones, buttons and twigs. Paper chain made out of scrapbook paper and bows out of checked ribbon. And lots of misc. decorations that the kids have made over the years. Last but not least, my Pottery Barn tree skirt that I bought last year at a deal after Christmas.

Now all we need is Santa to bring some presents for underneath it.

What a beautifully shaped tree! You picked a winner. It looks great decorated, and your wall color looks great with it. This could be out of a magazine!

Happy Holidays!

I love the shape of your tree! I always look for a narrow Noble fir and am not always successful. Your before and after photos are fun to see - I just started taking before and after photos this year. Beautiful tree!

I love how your tree looks in that space. How pretty to fill it with handmade ornaments! I'm doing lots of handmade this Christmas on my blog, too. Just wish I had a tree as amazing as yours--presents or no!
